Welcome to ASCENDtials “Climate Cares Beach Cleanup” Initiative!
We are excited to offer individuals, groups, and organizations the opportunity to help clean our adopted beach on Coronado Island, at the Silver Strand Beach. We hold these cleanups once a month to clean litter and monitor for any signs of pollution or other issues.
By participating in the “Climate Cares Beach Cleanup Initiative”, you will be making a direct impact on the health and beauty of our beaches, and helping to preserve them for future generations to enjoy. Whether you’re a community group, a business, or just an individual looking to make a difference, we welcome your participation.
To sign up:
Please, first, signup as a volunteer here for unlimited access to cleanups. Once signed up, please follow the instructions in the confirmation message to access our cleanup events. Then make sure to sign our ASCENDtials Climate Champions Beach Cleanups AGREEMENT OF RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIBILITY! We look forward to seeing you there. After each cleanup, we can celebrate by having lunch together! Stay tuned for details of upcoming cleanup events below! You can also find our cleanup events here monthly on Eventbrite to signup! Participation is free, but we accept donations for supplies and lunch for the groups. If you’d like to make a donation to support us for future programming, please donate via PayPal here.

Venue
Silver Strand Beach
- Clean-ups will be held every second Saturday of the month at Silver Strand Beach on Coronado Island, near Cays Park.
- Cays Park, Lot 2, in front of Lifeguard Vector 3, from 10:15AM -11:30 AM (PST)
- Please take the Cays exit off the highway, and turn into the first parking lot. We will be gathering there.
- All volunteers will receive a brief orientation before the clean-up begins.

Black’s Beach
- Clean-ups will be held every first Saturday of the month at Black’s Beach near Torrey Pines.
- Black’s Beach, from 9:15am-10:30 am, (PST)
