About the MAD
Definition: MAD stands for "Maintenance Assessment District."
Mission: To enhance the vitality, visibility, and equity of the Marina District through beautification,
marketing, and business support.
Vision: A vibrant, inclusive waterfront neighborhood where businesses thrive, public spaces inspire,
and community connections flourish.
Your Role as a Board Member
As a board member, you’ll help guide the MAD’s priorities, ensure fiscal responsibility, and represent the voices of our diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include:
- Approving budgets and work plans
- Advising on marketing, beautification, and business support initiatives
- Attending quarterly meetings and participating in committees
- Engaging with community members and fellow business owners
