ASCEND to Kemet Fest: A Journey of Wellness and Heritage

The festival is a celebration of the African diaspora and Kemetic traditions, featuring authentic African cuisine, musical performances, rows of local vendors, and expert-led workshops. It’s fun for all ages and free to attend. 

At the ASCEND to Kemet Fest, attendees can participate in workshops on Kemetic Yoga, poetry, and artistic expression. These 20-40 minute sessions focus on holistic thinking, familial values, and self-knowledge. The festival also emphasizes environmental consciousness, highlighting the important of climate, nature, and overall well-being.

FAQ's

Vendor Information

Booths are limited to a size of 10×10 feet or 10×20 feet, depending on the payment!  

Vendors are required to complete a form.

The booth fee is $45 for a 10×10 booth, and for a 10×20 booth, it will be $50. If you need a bigger size, contact dir@ascendtials.org. 

A specific booth will be designated to collect sales receipts.

Vendor setup will be at Fairmount St., where the food trucks are located. They can pull their cars up to unload, then move once they are complete.

Vendors are advised to bring their own generators if electricity is required.

Event Logistics

The stage will be positioned at the venue.

The stage measures 20×20 feet.

The event map is accessible on the Fest page of our website. 

There is no restriction on the number of vendors per booth.

Vendors may enter the venue at 9:00 a.m. on the event day.

Yes, designated stations will be available throughout the event, including during setup and breakdown.

Attendee Information

No outside food or drinks are permitted.

Gates open promptly at 10:00 a.m.

A lost and found section will be established at the ASCENDtials organizers’ booth. Refer to the fest map on the website for details.

Pets are not permitted during healing sessions to avoid disruption to guests.

Anticipated attendance ranges from 100 to 300 guests.

Free parking is available all around the venue.

No, tickets are non-refundable, since tickets are free.

Entrance is free, please walk into the park!
