Garden Workshop – Beginner Gardening Workshop on the Stages of a Tomato

Did you know that gardening and working with soil helps with production of serotonin-the hormone of happiness? This is due to a bacterium found in soil, called Mycobacterium vaccae that triggers the release of serotonin and contributes to our good mood and wellbeing.

Therefore, we are happy to announce that ASCENDtials is restarting its gardening workshops on the topic of growth stages of all creation, with the focus on tomatoes, for the first session. Join us and our guest speakers at our garden in Sweetwater Park in learning how to plant, grow and harvest this food rich in vitamin C, potassium, folate, vitamin K, and the antioxidant lycopene. After the gardening session we will do our signature Kemetic yoga or go on a relaxing hike in Sweetwater Park. This is one session of many! We will have a workshop each month focusing on different topics in the garden. You’ll get a chance to join our garden club, plant your own foods, and take home seeds and plants! Join us!
