IN-KIND DONATIONS

In-kind donations, which are non-monetary contributions of goods or services, play a crucial role in supporting ASCENDtials’ diverse programs. These donations provide vital resources such as musical instruments, art materials, gardening tools, etc. They are essential for ensuring the smooth delivery of ASCENDtials’ initiatives and promoting community engagement and learning.

We need your support in acquiring the necessary tools and materials for program implementation that are instrumental in enabling ASCENDtials to create impactful experiences for our community members.

Required Supplies for Music:

  • Musical instruments

Required Supplies for Hiking:

  • Navigation tools – map of the area/ trail

  • Compasses

  • Basic first aid kit

  • Flashlight 

  • Batteries

  • Firestarter

  • Emergency whistle

  • Tissues/ Wet Wipes




Required Supplies for Djembe Drumming:

  • Djembe drum

  • Handouts for instructions

  • Protective gloves 

  • Drum key




Required Supplies for swimming:

  • Lifejackets

  • First aid kit

Required Supplies:

  • Drawing books/ canvases

  • Pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils

  • Paints (watercolors, acrylics, oils)

  • Paintbrushes 

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Tape

  • Craft materials such as cardstock and beads (if applicable)

  • Paper towels

  • Cleaning wipes

  • Trash bags to clean up later

Required Supplies for highway cleanup:

  • Reflective vests for visibility

  • Gloves

  • Trash bags

  • Tools to pick up litter

  • Water bottles

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Tissues

  • Safety cones

  • Brooms and dustpans (if needed)

  • Insect repellent

  • Umbrellas for rain protection

  • A designated collection point for the gathered trash (e.g. rented truck)




Required Supplies for tree planting events:

  • Trees

  • Organic soil or compost for healthy plant growth

  • Organic mulch such as straw or wood chips suppresses weeds, retains moisture, and regulates soil temperature

  • Compost bins

  • Garden beds

  • Fence

  • Row Covers

  • Shovels

  • Spades

  • Hoes

  • Trash collection bags for any waste generated during the event

  • Course materials/ books related to the program 

  • Tools and equipment depending on the nature of the service

  • Safety equipment depending on the nature of the service

  • Pamphlets with instructions for each activity
