ASCENDtials Farmers’ Markets
Fresh Food. Local Vendors. Cultural Connection. Two Weekly Markets Serving San Diego.
ASCENDtials proudly hosts two weekly Farmers’ Markets — one in City Heights and one in the Marina District — each offering fresh produce, local artisans, cultural programming, and a welcoming space for families, neighbors, and volunteers.
Both markets uplift community wellness, support local growers, and create meaningful opportunities for connection, stewardship, and economic empowerment.

🌱 City Heights Farmers’ Market
A Celebration of One of the Most Diverse Communities in the United States
City Heights is home to one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in the country, and our Farmers’ Market reflects that richness in every way. Each week, the market becomes a vibrant tapestry of global flavors, ancestral traditions, and community pride — a place where authenticity is lived, shared, and celebrated.
Our market represents this diversity through:
• Vegetarian and plant‑forward offerings
• Wellness services rooted in ancestral practices
• Foods inspired by our rich African heritage
• Traditional dishes from El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Somalia
• Fresh honey, artisan breads, seasonal fruits
• Some of the best organic greens in San Diego
The vendors, the music, the artisans, the themes — everything at the City Heights Farmers’ Market reflects the cultures, stories, and communities that make this neighborhood extraordinary.
When you visit, you’re not just shopping.
You’re connecting with authenticity, honoring heritage, and supporting a community that thrives on diversity and unity.

The mission of our ASCENDKemet Collective Certified Farmers’ Market is to represent the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color) community of San Diego through its local vendors, farmers, and artisans. The ASCENDKemet Collective aims to support and uplift the highly melanated diasporic community, as well as its commitment to holistic living, bartering, and selling fresh, nutritious produce. The ASCENDKemet Collective is dedicated to uplifting the highly melanated diasporic community while championing holistic living, bartering, and the sale of fresh, nutritious produce. Our open-air market, created by the BIPOC community, is a unique hub that offers locally grown and harvested fresh produce. It also provides an opportunity for those committed to giving back to actively participate in fostering a vibrant local space.

Our vendors embody holistic principles, remaining mindful of the products they create and support. Many identify as highly melanated and recognize the value of cultivating a culture of exchange and barter. Together, we aim to build strong, healthy, and thriving communities.
