Join Our
Community
- Our membership structure supports two different pathways to keep things accessible and clear:
- Volunteering (a service pathway): Requires a Volunteer Membership (mandatory for all volunteers).
- Program Participation (a learning + community pathway): Features Program Membership Levels (optional, for in‑person program participants).
1. ASCENDtials Volunteer Membership (Required for All Volunteers)
ASCENDtials uses a one‑time Volunteer Membership donation to support the tools, training, and community programs that make your service possible. A waiver option ensures volunteerism remains accessible to all.
Learn more about the Volunteer Membership.
How it works
– Remote volunteers complete the donation or waiver before onboarding.
– In‑person volunteers complete the donation or waiver during onboarding inside the portal.
Your service is valued regardless of donation.
Service Learning and Court‑ordered donations not waived.
2. Program Participant Membership Levels (For In‑Person Program Participants)
These memberships support individuals, families, groups, and organizations participating in ASCENDtials’ in‑person programs, such as workshops, youth activities, cultural learning, and stewardship events.
These are not required for volunteering.
Program Membership Options:
– Single Membership — For individuals participating in workshops and cultural programs.
– Family Membership — For households participating in youth and family programs.
– Group Membership — For youth groups, after‑school programs, and community organizations.
– Court‑Ordered Membership — For individuals completing required service hours with structured support and verification.
– Company Membership — For businesses seeking community engagement and cultural learning opportunities.
Each membership level includes its own pricing and benefits.

We believe community service should remain accessible to everyone. If you experience financial hardship or have personal circumstances that make the membership donation difficult, you may request a donation waiver after onboarding.
Refunds are processed within 10 business days. No explanation is required — your dignity and access come first. This ensures that no one is turned away from serving their community.
ASCENDtials uses a one-time membership donation model to keep our programs accessible while sustaining the cultural, educational, and community-centered work we offer throughout the year. This model allows individuals, families, groups, and companies to participate in our program at a level that fits their needs, while helping us cover the real costs of running workshops, youth programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events.
Membership donations support:
- Cultural education workshops in the garden, kitchen, and drum circle
- Youth leadership pathways like Mini Earthkeepers and youth vendors
- Night sky star parties, seasonal caps, and family learning experiences
- Restorative service opportunities for court-ordered particpants
- Supplies, materials, and staffing for hands-on learning
- Coordination of volunteer and community service activities
- Free and low-cost events for families and community members
A membership donation is not a fee for service, it is a contribution that helps sustain the programs you participate in.
We need your support to run this volunteer program! Your one-time, tax-deductible registration donation helps us sustain ourselves and ensures that volunteer and participant member recruitment services are free to our community and partners!
